Kia Ora,
My name is Ryen. I am an illustrator & interactive student in my final year at Media Design School, and an active member of the DINZ Student Council.
I got into interactive design because I wanted to learn coding. But in my second year of university, I discovered that I was more drawn to creating experiences that allow for physical interaction.
My work is highly narrative-driven. I approach each project by trying to understand what kind of story needs to be told, and how an experience can bring it to life in a way that resonates with people.
I am most excited to work on projects that are based on real-world problems. I find that when a project addresses something meaningful, the outcome will naturally progress to become something that is impactful and engaging.
